Meet your instructor: Michelle Stook

Introducing Michelle, a multifaceted practitioner weaving her qualifications and expertise in social work, yoga, Polyvagal Theory, and Pranic Psychotherapy into transformative classes. Additionally, Michelle is currently completing her master’s in biomedical yoga therapy. With over 35 years of personal yoga practice, Michelle infuses her teaching with her wealth of experience, cultivating health for both the body and mind.

Through a blend of sound, movement, and colour, participants ground themselves in the present moment while nurturing their bodies in gentle stretches and healing practices. Her holistic approach ensures that each session is not just a workout, but a journey towards better health, deeper self-awareness, and inner peace.

Beyond the studio, her career in conservation sees her guiding interns, students, and PhD researchers toward career growth and development. During weekends, Michelle and her family embrace the great outdoors, embarking on hiking, kayaking, climbing, and planning their next travel adventures.

Join Michelle in her yoga and meditation classes at UQ Healthy Living, where her extensive knowledge and compassionate teaching style create a welcoming and supportive environment for all.

Benefits of yoga and meditation

  • Increased flexibility
  • Enhanced muscle strength and tone
  • Improved respiration, energy, and vitality
  • Balanced metabolism
